Directions from Sherrifhall Roundabout 
Head South on the A7 through Newtongrange

Continue South across the Old Toll Cross Roads with the Shell garage on your right hand side

As you reach Gorebridge you will turn Right onto the B6372

Continue on this road passing the opening for Arniston House on your right hand side

After this opening take the next left onto the country road

approximately 1 mile along the road, the turning is opposite a large closed gatehouse

You will pass Castleton Farm and cross a small narrow bridge

Once past Castleton Farm you will see a large green conveyor belt that goes under the road, at this point turn right

Continue down this road for approximately 1 mile passing Outerston Farm on your right

After a mile turn left onto the dirt road signed Ousterston Hill where you will find the site at the first woodland
